Radio Reporting for Beginners

You too can be a radio reporter! This hands-on training makes radio news writing and production accessible. You will practice gathering quality sound and conduct several field interviews. Write a broadcast style radio news script and get tips on how to read it. Learn how to use the digital editing program, Audacity, and put it all together.  

This training will take you through every stage of the radio news reporting process, and provide you with personal lab hours with our instructors. You will learn:

To use radio as a powerful communications tool,
Marketable skills such as digital recording, audio editing, and internet research techniques.
How to tell your stories and the stories of your community.

By the end of this training you will report, write and produce a radio story.
