DEI Video Series on MNN

Attention: open in a new window. PrintE-mail

On Thursday, January 15th, at 9pm, Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) will air the third installment of the Digital Expansion Initiatives video series.

This month we present a press conference organized by Council Member Gale Brewer speaking on the problems with the digital television transition. The press conference included speakers from Common Cause, NY, Consumers Union, the Hispanic Information Telecommunications Network, and People's Production House. At the conference, Chuck Bell from Consumers Union called for a delay of the digital television transition. Obama spokesperson John Podesta also called for a delay of the transition later that day. We also have an interview with José Luis Rodríguez from the Hispanic Information Telecommunications Network, who received a $750, 000 government grant to assist with the transition.

Tune in tomorrow at www.mnn.org or on Time Warner Channel 34 in Manhattan.
