On June 03, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) started a 10-day countdown to the Digital Television Transition (DTV) across the country.

On June 12, 2009, all full-power television stations will broadcast only in digital. As part of its campaign to keep the public informed about the switch from analogue to digital broadcasting, the FFC set up a DTV Clinic at the New York Public Library located on 5th Ave. CNPI reporter, Julia Paul caught up with one of the FCC electronics engineer, Emil Cherian who provided information about the transition and many other related issues.
